The NAS Warrington branch is run exclusively by volunteers who are carers of loved ones on the Autistic Spectrum.
We aim to provide information and support as well as social and leisure activities.
If you would like to volunteer or otherwise get involved with the branch, please see our current vacancies below and let the Branch Officer know (see details in the Contact section of this website).
There is always a lot to be done and if we can share the load then we can continue to provide support for families like yours. We have a range of roles requiring different skills and abilities and varying amounts of time. Any contributions, great or small, would be very much appreciated.
Current Volunteer Vacancies
Children's Activities Team Members - choosing, planning and booking activities.
Youth Group Team Members - adults or young people (14-18 years) to help organise our monthly group or lead activities.
Safeguarding Officer (Committee role) - manageable online training required - this role is fully backed up by employees of the NAS and is not as daunting as it sounds!
Administrator (Committee role) - training in data protection available.
General volunteers who may be able to offer help for one off activities such as fund-raising events.
We are always looking for people to volunteer for things they are interested in and like doing and/or which directly support their own families needs at any particular time. We hope that roles will be covered by small groups of people so that everyone has lots of support, does not feel solely responsible and has team members to take their place if things get difficult with work, home, health etc.
Volunteering can be a great way to make new friends in a welcoming and supportive environment.
